With a strong interest in manga and other forms of sequential imagery and storytelling I enjoy creating stories and characters that draw on folklore from around the world as well as my own experiences and multi-cultural family history.

Maintained proper control of the Contract Management System (CMS) and Unifier for the award of artist contracts and documentation of minutes and design phases; prepared certificates of payment for the various phases of each contract.

Crossing Cultures: The Art of Manga in Hawaiʻi

Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaiʻi Community Gallery, May 3- June 7, 2014

·       Responsible for the content, research, and overall coordination of the exhibition which was held at two exhibition sites, Gallery ʻIolani at Windward Community College, and the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaiʻi.
·       Interviewed over 30 artists, writers, and members of the community as research for the exhibition. Designed exhibition layout. Decided on and prepared all artwork for exhibition. Coordinated volunteers to assist with installation. Developed and executed public outreach programs to run concurrent with the exhibition i.e. public talks and interactive art activity days.
·       Wrote and was awarded a grant from the Hawaiʻi Council for the Humanities to fund the exhibition and a commissioned essay from Dr. Jayson Makoto Chun, Associate Professor of the Humanities at UH West Oahu, that was distributed at the event and online. Visit http://hawaiimanga.com/

·       The Honolulu Printmakers is a 93-year-old non-profit arts organization promoting the art and culture of printmaking and the appreciation of prints as a unique artform.
·       Served as Secretary (2013-2016) taking notes and distributing them to the other members shortly after the monthly meetings.
·       Served as Vice President (2016-2017) and chaired the 89th Annual Exhibition at Honolulu Museum of Art School in 2017.
·       Served as President (2017-2018) and oversaw all board meetings during this period.
·       Worked with Hawaiʻi artists, Carl F. K. Pao and Vince Hazen on their 2018 and 2019 Gift Print commissions respectively.
·       Coordinated and contributed in the planning and execution of numerous printmaking outreach events around Honolulu.
